It's time to say "good bye" to ultra processed food!

Updated: Jan 31, 2023

I'm not going to sugar coat this...

Eating ultra-processed food is making you and your family sick.

If processed foods are a regular part of your diet then rest assured that chronic inflammation that can lead to illness & disease is brewing inside you!

Majority of ultra-processed foods are made with commodity crops such as wheat, corn & soy that are riddled with toxic pesticides. They contain lab made chemicals and refined sweeteners to make them more addictive. They spike your blood sugar and fire up your immune system and bear no resemblance to what your ancestors ate or what your body recognizes as real food.

Ultra-processed foods are convenient & tasty but if you truly care about your family's health for the long-term it is ESSENTIAL that you ditch these toxins masquerading as food.

It’s possible that you are already experiencing symptoms of chronic inflammation (see infograph) that could actually be significantly relieved by avoiding inflammatory foods!

The point that I'm making is that even if you have a genetic predisposition to disease, YOU STILL HAVE SO MUCH CONTROL OVER YOUR HEALTH OUTCOMES! And making the choice to fuel your body with nutrient rich, whole foods is the foundation to mitigating and avoiding serious health issues.

Before taking a bite, ask yourself:

"Will this support my health or sabotage it?"

Be a "Food Detective" and start reading food ingredient labels located on the back of the package. (Not just the nutrition facts or marketing taglines on the front.) You'll be blown away by how much JUNK is in most pre-packed foods.

Here is a list of some of the most highly toxic ingredients found in processed foods. If you see any of these listed, do yourself a favor and put the item back on the shelf:

Junk oils: Vegetable, canola, soybean, cottonseed, safflower, hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated, margarine

Refined & artificial sugars: High fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, erythritol aspartame, saccharin, sucralose, there are too many to list...

Artificial food dyes: Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, caramel coloring (check medications for these!)

Food additives: Anything made from non-organic wheat, corn, soy & conventional dairy, Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), sodium nitrate/nitrite, sodium benzoate, sulphur dioxide, potassium bromate, carrageenan, artificial flavoring, and so on...

*Check out this Food Additive Glossary from the Food Babe for more info on ingredients to avoid and why.
